... and the journey has just begun!

Tan: an exciting start to our brilliant trip, dad was scanned several times for explosive residue. He was really stressed after they'd said he may not be able to travel! An OMG moment!

The flights were long and a bit late, but eventually we arrived all safe and sound. Richard took on his role as driver, although his parallel parking in Brighton was a disgrace! He is Asian after all - they were his own words by the way! :)

Brighton was beautiful, but we were late and had no internet which meant we couldn't find Chockywokydoda. We decided to skip Stonehenge for day one, but will go tomorrow after we leave Bath. Loving our accommodation here in Bath and looking forward to a great day of exploring through this beautiful city.

Rich: The A380 was a very nice plane to travel on, although hearing about electrical issues at the start didn't instill any confidences. Arrived in Singapore safely, had some time to stretch our legs and then got the news that there was complete power outage to the A380 cabin. Nice... Anyway, arrived in London, albeit a couple of hours late.

Skycam is cool! Got to see the A380 land from the tail wing. It was very interesting seeing the plane approaching and hitting the runway a little bit diagonally.

Picked up our car, a VW Tiguan, then hopped on the Motorway and we were off to Brighton. Heavy downpour for most of the way. Got a chance to check out the Brighton pier - fish pie and a beer was on the lunch menu. The tartare sauce that the waiter dropped on Lyn's jacket was bad. Sole fish is probably quite tasty, but jacket fish is not!

Made our way to Bath and our accommodation. Gees, did the shower feel good! Drove into town for dinner and found a place called Gascoyne Place. It was a nice little venue where they had live Jazz musicians and I had a beautiful open beef burger with a sip of some Grolsch.
