Ciao Firenze!

We left Mt Rigi this morning and headed back down on the cable car for our final look at the scenery. Onto the bus and it was off in the direction of Italy. Molto bene!

We had three stops on the way to Pisa, because it was quite a long drive. We had only a short stop at Pisa, which was a bit disappointing. It would've have been great to just to have another 30 minutes, but it was certainly better than not going.

Back on the bus and off to Florence (Firenze)! Once we'd checked in, it was a quick shower, a change up and some in-room washing.

We walked as a whole group to the restaurant and had a set menu of fried pasta, prosciutto and cheese for entree. It was so delicious and blended well with the red wine. The Italiano practice was going well and the waiter seemed really happy with our efforts.

A small group of the others were keen to go to a local Florence club. We'd enjoyed ourselves at dinner and were in good spirits, so we decided to dance it up too!

The club was soooo much fun, except for the really young crowd. We know, at our age it should not have been a surprise. Our crew of 8 were on fire and danced up a storm for around 4 hours. We got some Heineken prizes with the thongs being the crowd favourite. Sooo much fun getting to go out with a group whom we'd made really good friends with!

Enjoy the pics!

  1. love it Tan, you make yourself sound so old 'at our age' I'm not having a bar of it.
