Out at sea (2)

Well technically it was our third day at sea, given that we weren't able to get off in Mykonos. Damn! With a cheeky sleep-in under our belts it was up for a relaxing late breakfast to enjoy the beautiful view.

They love a festival here on the ship. Today we enjoyed the international flag celebration, which had a good feel. They read out the countries and breakdown of staff and some danced to a pop song from their country if there was one. We weren't surprised when The Black Eyed Peas song came on for the Filipinos. Very festive!

Our mate from the nightclub ended up winning the World's Sexiest Man comp. This was hilarious. There were three challenges involved with the first being a catwalk walk ending in a sexy pose and then a description of why they should be the winner. The second challenge was wringing out a wet t-shirt over their head and a 'sexy' dance around the judges. Finally, a belt with basketball rings was attached to them and they had to swing their hips wildly to get an attached ball through the hoops for points. Amusing to watch and surprise, surprise a real crowd pleaser!

The entertainment staff basically rolled straight onto the volleyball comp after this. The staff with their team of 6 won 5 of the 6 matches! They looked freezing, as it was noticeably colder in the pool today. Pretty much everyone out on deck were enjoying all of the festivities today, including us! We were also loving the general splendor on deck and the music played throughout the day. Not for everyone, but we have had a ball and sadly it is almost at an end.

Off to the second last night of progressive trivia and Team RaT went in confidently. It really helped that it was Michael Jackson trivia and that we had an opportunity to refresh our memories with practise in our room beforehand! Loving that iPod docking station we brought with us....not that we're competitive or anything! It ended up between us and an opposing side in a tie breaker for the win, but it wasn't to be. Although we lost out, we still ended with lots of points accrued for our aggregate score. Thanks Wacko!

Formal night for us consisted of clothes worn before. The backpack makes it hard and incredibly frustrating for the clothes loving people of this dynamic duo! Hahahaha! Our restaurant waiters have continued to impress us more and more each night, even performing restaurant party tricks his evening. We're keeping these under wraps to impress you all upon our return!

Can you believe it? We lost a small amount of cashola at Casino Royale, but somehow have still stayed in front. Woot! Thanks bingo win. We met a heap more people from Western Australia tonight. There were a few of them who travelled on the same tour together in Italy and all ended up on this cruise. None of them knew each other beforehand and actually live close to one another. Such a small world.

Just after the Beatles trivia last night we forgot to mention that we met a lady who knows out beautiful friend Amanda Brabham. We wouldn't have dreamed that we would be on a ship discussing Amanda's due date with a stranger. It's a world of laughter, a world of tears.....you know the rest!

A bit more of a subdued end to our day as we have a very early rise for tomorrow's shore excursion. Croatia here we come! We hope that they have recovered from their recent UEFA loss.
