Loving London Life!

Tan & Rich: It was such a brilliant day of touring around with such beautiful weather. This morning we started at Madame Tussauds. It was really great to go to - fun, interesting and interactive. The highlight was the haunted section or the 4D experience showing the Marvel comic characters battling it out around London.

After a getting our coffees and making our way to the tourist info place at Trafalgar Square, we embarked on our 1.5 hour Rock n Roll tour around the streets of the Soho district. We saw many locations of the Beattles, the Stones, the Sex Pistols and others like David Bowie and Queen! Awesome!

It was perfectly sunny and a great day to be walking and weaving through the funky alleyways and busy streets. We had a quick little lunch in the Chinatown section, then started our northward bound walk towards the London Zoo.

The zoo is a part of the London Pass that we purchased ages ago and allows you priority and entry without further payment to many sites and tours around town. As the weather was truly glorious, we decided that the zoo would be perfect! We loved the walk through the Regent Gardens ...unbelievable and so huge. Right in the guts of the prime real estate.

It really was worthwhile, but we got there a little late in the day and ended up only having 1.5 hours there, so there was no mucking around. Right, seen that...ok, next! Because it was late, not a weekend and not a public holiday, there were only a few people around, so seeing things in full view was very easy to do!

Rich: I loved the fact that in some of the enclosures you could walk amongst the animals without boundaries. Seeing monkeys run pass your feet, swinging off branches and ropes above your head was cool!

Tan & Rich: After a nice stroll back to the apartment, we had a rest for a bit, then eventually headed out to the pub 50 meters away and enjoyed a nice meal together. Everyone is really showing signs of tiredness, so an early night is most definitely in order! Another big day ahead tomorrow, but still relaxing.
