Spanish Roulette

OMG we walked out of the pension and it was still raining! Luckily we had had a really late start to the day. So by the time we had breakfast and checked out our online usuals, it had miraculously stopped! Finally!

It was a really overcast day in the end, but not cold and really perfect temperature for going for a walk. We ended up doing the walk up to the old fort at Mount Urgull. It was quite steep in some places, but the view was well worth the effort!

Working our way around the mountain, we ended up back down at the ocean walk, which took us into Old Town. This was a gorgeous walk and it was nice to enjoy the beautiful fresh air, without the smokers and the rain!

Today we went in search of a menu of the day for lunch around Old Town. There were so many options to choose from, although we didn't really know what most of the meals were that the restaurants were including as they were written in Spanish!

We decided on a place that had their deal for 10€. Like all of the others, this included a three course meal, with bread and wine. We took a stab in the dark at our meal choices. We knew that one was the fish soup, but as for the other entree we had no idea! This ended up being a potato salad, which was nice. For our mains we both chose
the same meal, which ended up bring tripe in a tomato like sauce.

Tan: I really tried! I had about 7 small mouthfuls and just couldn't 'stomach' it!

Rich: I finished almost all of it. I didn't mind it though. I kept motivating Tan by saying, "just think of Survivor!"

After lunch we headed back for a bit of a siesta and then a bar hop before dinner. In one of the Tapas bars we were chatting with a nice Brisbane couple who invited us for a drink with them. They gave us a few great tips for Italy which sounded great.

We had dinner in a place that again made us some divine paella. We're addicted to this stuff. Tonight though we choose different styles, but they were both really delicious!

Tan: My bloody annoying cough (which makes me sound like I have bird flu) put an end to our night. Originally we thought that we may go on for a while after dinner, but during dinner my coughing was ridiculous.

A great day, which was fun and relaxing and our cheapest day yet! Yay!
