Sunny London not Sunnie London!

Tan & Rich: The title of blog today is a homage to our great friend Sunnie Bull, formally Sunnie London - affectionately known as Sun Sun! Get your head around that.

We had a bit of a late start with another delicious breaky at the farm B&B, then headed off to London. Our ambitions once again exceeded the time constraints, so our grand plans for Windsor Castle were thwarted! We ended up retuning the car to its home base just outside of Heathrow airport, all in tact.

It was easy, but a little time consuming taking the Tube into central London from Heathrow airport. Our apartment is in a great location, just to the north of Oxford Street.

We decided to waste no time. We dumped our bags after checking in and headed straight out on a walking expedition finding streets on a Monopoly board along the way! As today was the Monday of Bank Holiday, the streets were packed, though we suspect they're always packed in these parts!

We headed down Oxford Street towards the London Eye, stopping at Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, St James' Park and Buckingham Palace along the way.

We got our tickets, rode the Eye and saw the accompanying 4D short film, which was very well done. It was after 8pm by that time, so we headed back towards our place, stopping for a yummy Thai dinner in Soho, just south of our apartment.

  1. The Queen looks like she's in a zoo. You celebrity head hunter you, Tanya. First Johnny Depp, now the Queen. Not to mention all those waxy ones.
